About
Turner Woodworks is owned and operated by Abraham Turner and located in northern Marquette County in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Abraham graduated from Northern Michigan University in 2018 with a degree in Biology. He was introduced to log carpentry while working on the historic cabins in the Huron Mountain Club where he was employed for several years. Traditional styles accentuated through fine wood craft was the inspiration to design and build saunas and timber structures out of his shop in Halfway Village. Here he makes his home with his partner Clare, their dogs - Tsuga & Ernie - and their chickens.
Inquires for other custom woodwork or log repair/restoration are welcomed.
Abraham is a licensed and insured builder through the State of Michigan.
About the build process:
Design: Talk with us about customizable options for windows, doors, bench layout, materials, and more.
Site visit: When possible, we prefer to visit the clients property to assess what’s needed for site work at potential building locations.
Once we finalize a design, price, and timeline, we will create and sign necessary contracts. All of our saunas come with a three year workmanship warranty.
Building process:
-About 75% of the work is done in our shop just north of Marquette, MI.
-On site work will typically range from 2-4 weeks depending on sauna model and site work. We are happy to travel anywhere in the Upper Midwest.
Sauna! Enjoy your hand built log sauna for generations to come.
